BTS has recently released a new song and its ninth English Digital single called “Butter”. The group’s name, BTS, stands for the Korean expression “Bangtan Sonyeondan”, it literally means “Bulletproof Boy Scouts”.
J-Hope in an Interview said the name shows the group’s desire “to block out stereotypes, criticisms, and expectations that aim at adolescents like bullets”. Further, they extended their name to mean “growing youth BTS who is going beyond the realities they are facing, and going forward.”
BTS had released its debut single album “2 Cool 4 Skool” in 2013, On June 12. “2 Kool 4 Skool” peaked at number 92 in Korea. While their second single, “Dope” was released in 2015 which peaked at number 44 in Korea. Dope peaked at number 3 on Billboard of World Digital Songs Chart.

According to StubHub BTS was one of 2018’s best-selling concerts in international markets outside the US, second to only Ed Sheeran.
BTS “Butter” at IMI chart
Now on World Music Day IMI (Indian Music Industry) international released the Top 20 Singles Chart. Which is host to the best in international music. The IMI chart Tweeted “The IMI International Top 20 Singles Chart is host to the best in international music! Head to the link in bio to view the entire chart!.”
The chart has three BTS tracks in the top 20.
BTS new song “Butter” at #1, “Dynamite” at #8, “Life goes on” at #20.
Butter was released on May 21, 2021, and it’s a global hit.
BTS at Billboard Chart
Billboard consecutively tweets and tells that “Of the 54 songs in history that have debuted at No. 1 on the Hot100. “Butter” is just the 13th to spend its first four weeks at No. 1.”
BTS has attended the 61st Grammy Awards. It was the first time for the group as an award presenter at the LA Grammy Museum in 2018.
On March 14, at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards BTS performed “Dynamite”, becoming the first Korean nominee to perform on their own song at the show
BTS has won many awards, including 6 American Music Awards, 20 Seoul Music Awards, 24 Golden Disc Awards, 9 Billboard Music Awards, 6 MTV Video Music Awards, and many more. BTS is the first group in history to win Top Song Sales Artist at the Billboard Music Awards.
Group BTS became the first K-Pop act to remain on the Billboard 200 for a whole year in 2019. Time Magazine named BTS their 2020 “Entertainer of the Year”
BTS has a large social influence and has attained 26 Guinness World Records. Including the world record for most Twitter engagements. BTS always releases its new song now and then to always give their fans what they want.
